Privacy Policy

Hungry Touch ("we," "our," or "us") operates a restaurant marketing platform that provides social media content creation, publishing, and management services for restaurant clients. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our services, website (hungrytouch.com), and related tools including our Customer Portal (portal.hungrytouch.ai).

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide:

  • Account & Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, business name, and billing details when you sign up for our services.

  • Business Content: Photos, videos, menu items, promotional materials, and other content you provide for marketing purposes.

  • Social Media & Advertising Credentials: When you authorize us to manage your social media accounts, advertising accounts, or business profiles, we may receive and store access tokens and related authentication data (see Section 4 for details).

Information Collected Automatically:

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions within our Customer Portal.

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and manage our restaurant marketing services

  • Create, schedule, and publish social media content on your behalf

  • Upload video content to your authorized social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)

  • Create and manage advertising campaigns you have approved (Meta and Google Ads)

  • Manage your Google Business Profile (posts, photos, and review responses) as authorized by you

  • Generate performance reports and analytics

  • Communicate with you about your account and services

  • Improve our services and develop new features

  • Process payments and manage subscriptions

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Social Media & Advertising Platforms: We transmit content (videos, images, captions, advertising creatives) to social media and advertising platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Google) on your behalf, as authorized by you.

  • Service Providers: We use third-party tools for payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting, and content delivery (Cloudinary) that may process data on our behalf.

  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Google API Services (YouTube, Google Ads & Google Business Profile)

This section applies specifically to our use of Google API Services, including the YouTube Data API, the Google Ads API, and the Google Business Profile APIs.

4.1 What Google Data We Access

When you authorize Hungry Touch to provide services connected to your Google accounts, we request access only to the scopes necessary for the services you have contracted:

  • YouTube (youtube.upload scope) — This allows us to upload videos to your YouTube channel on your behalf. We do NOT access your YouTube viewing history, subscriptions, playlists, comments, analytics, or any other YouTube data beyond what is necessary to upload content.

  • Google Ads API (adwords scope) — When you contract our advertising management services, we access and manage Google Ads campaign data (campaigns, budgets, keywords, and performance metrics) for the Google Ads accounts linked under our agency's manager account. We use this access solely to create and manage advertising campaigns you have approved and to produce your performance reports. We do not access any other Google account data through this scope.

  • Google Business Profile API (business.manage scope) — When you authorize us as a manager of your Google Business Profile, we access your profile's performance metrics (such as calls, direction requests, and website clicks), publish posts and photos you have approved, and read and respond to customer reviews on your behalf. We use this access solely to provide our contracted marketing and reporting services.

4.2 How We Use Google Data

We use Google API Services solely to provide our contracted marketing services: uploading marketing video content (primarily YouTube Shorts) to your YouTube channel, creating and managing your approved advertising campaigns, managing your Google Business Profile, and producing your performance reports. We do not use your Google data for any other purpose, including advertising unrelated to your services, market research, or profiling.

4.3 How We Store Google Data

When you authorize our application, we receive and store:

  • OAuth Access Tokens: Temporary tokens used to authenticate requests. Stored securely and refreshed as needed.

  • OAuth Refresh Tokens: Long-lived tokens that allow us to obtain new access tokens without requiring you to re-authorize. Stored in our secured internal systems.

  • Account & Location Identifiers: Your YouTube channel ID, Google Ads customer ID, and Google Business Profile location ID, used to direct our services to the correct accounts.

For Google Ads and Business Profile services, we store OAuth tokens and account/location identifiers under the same security, retention, and deletion terms described in this policy (deletion within 30 calendar days of service termination or request). We do not store content data retrieved from Google APIs beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

4.4 Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your Google API data (OAuth tokens and account/location identifiers) for as long as you are an active client using the related services. Upon termination of our services or upon your request:

  • All stored OAuth tokens will be deleted within 30 calendar days

  • Your YouTube channel ID, Google Ads customer ID, and Business Profile location ID will be removed from our systems within 30 calendar days

  • No Google API data will be retained after this period

4.5 Revoking Access

You can revoke Hungry Touch's access to your Google accounts at any time through either of these methods:

Once access is revoked, we will no longer be able to provide the related services, and we will delete all associated Google API data as described in Section 4.4.

4.6 Compliance

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only use Google data to provide and improve our user-facing marketing services

  • We do not transfer Google data to third parties except as necessary to provide our services

  • We do not use Google data for advertising or marketing purposes unrelated to our service

  • We do not allow humans to read your Google data except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law

Hungry Touch's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. YouTube Terms of Service

By authorizing Hungry Touch to access your YouTube channel, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's Privacy Policy is available at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, organizational, technical, and physical controls to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted storage of authentication tokens and credentials

  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized team members

  • Regular review of security practices

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request information about what data we hold about you

  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information

  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data

  • Revocation: Revoke access to connected social media, advertising, and business profile accounts at any time

  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our API services are not designed for or directed at children (this is not a Child-Directed API Client as defined by YouTube's policies).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. SMS/Text Messaging

Hungry Touch may send SMS or text messages to business phone numbers obtained from publicly available government databases and business registries, including NYC Department of Health inspection records, New York State Liquor Authority license filings, and NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection business license applications.

Messages are sent to introduce our restaurant marketing services and may include information about website development, menu design, POS systems, and marketing subscriptions.

Message frequency: We send a maximum of 3 text messages per recipient unless the recipient replies and initiates a conversation.

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Hungry Touch does not charge any fees for SMS messages.

We do not share your phone number or SMS data with third parties for marketing purposes.
